Custom software

Custom software for your SME, designed from your ground.

I come to your premises to understand how you really work, then design, build and integrate the tool that replaces your spreadsheets, your re-entries and your software that doesn't talk to each other. One single point of contact, from diagnosis to maintenance.

  • Travel included, anywhere in France
  • Fixed price agreed before we start
  • You own the code and the data

Typical problems

When your tools slow down your teams.

The SMEs that contact me rarely describe a need for software. They describe situations that cost time every day.

  • Double data entry

The same information is typed into an email, a spreadsheet, then the accounting software. Every re-entry takes time and eventually creates an error: a wrong price, a missing address, a shifted date.

  • Excel everywhere

Files shared by email, diverging versions, formulas nobody dares to change. The company depends on a workbook and on the one person who knows how it works.

  • Tools that don't communicate

Booking software, accounting, CRM and field files each live on their own. The numbers never match and it takes hours to get the big picture.

  • Off-the-shelf software that doesn't fit

You pay a per-user subscription for a tool you only partly use, and your teams have built workarounds for everything else.

  • No real-time view

To know where an order, a job or a booking stands, someone has to make a call. Dashboards are rebuilt by hand at the end of the month.

  • The field cut off from the office

Field teams take notes on paper or in messages, then everything is retyped at the office. Information arrives late, or not at all.

What I build

Concrete tools, shaped around your trade.

Custom business software isn't an abstract project. It's specific screens, used every day by specific people. A few examples by type of tool.

  • 01

    Operations management

The central tool of the business, the one that replaces everyday spreadsheets.

    • Order or case tracking
    • Stock and purchasing
    • Work orders and traceability
  • 02

    Scheduling and field work

Organise teams, routes and appointments, and track what was done.

    • Drag-and-drop team scheduling
    • Mobile app for the field
    • Signed reports with photos
  • 03

    Customer and sales tracking

A CRM designed for your sales cycle, not a vendor's.

    • Full history per customer
    • Automatic follow-ups
    • Deal and quote tracking
  • 04

    Quotes, orders and invoicing

From first quote to invoice, with no re-entry between steps.

    • Quotes generated from a catalogue
    • Purchase and delivery notes
    • Export to accounting software
  • 05

    Customer and partner portals

A secure space where your customers, owners or suppliers find what concerns them.

    • Order or case tracking
    • Document exchange and signature
    • Online step approval
  • 06

    Dashboards

The indicators you need to steer the business, computed automatically from your data.

    • Revenue and margin in real time
    • Occupancy or workload rate
    • Alerts on key thresholds

By sector

Every trade has its own constraints.

I work with SMEs from very different sectors. What changes from one trade to another is the tools to connect and the moments when information gets lost.

  • Hotels

Multi-platform bookings, housekeeping schedule, room status, connection with your booking software.

  • Concierge services

Rental platform calendars, cleaning, check-ins, inventories and payouts to owners.

  • Real estate agencies

Listings, viewings, buyer follow-ups, seller reports and owner portal.

  • Trades and construction

Quotes, job tracking, team scheduling and job reports from a phone.

The method

Five stages, one deliverable at each step.

I come on site when being there matters: to understand, to deploy, to train. The rest of the project moves forward remotely, with regular check-ins.

The method in detail
  1. 01On site

    On-site immersion

One to two days at your premises. I observe workstations, talk with your teams and map the tools and information flows.

    DeliverableImmersion report

  2. 02Remote

    Diagnosis and specification

I analyse what I observed and we set priorities together: what costs the most today, what will pay off fastest.

DeliverableProcess map, priorities and cost estimate

  3. 03Remote

    Design and prototype

I design the screens and user flows, then have future users test them before a single line of code is written.

    DeliverableClickable prototype approved by users

  4. 04Remote

    Development and integration

I build in stages. The tool is connected to what you already use (ERP, accounting, Excel, CRM, APIs) and your data is migrated.

DeliverableA testable version at each stage, migrated data

  5. 05On site

    Deployment, training and support

I come back on site for go-live and team training. After that, I handle maintenance and improvements.

Integration and interoperability

Software that fits into what you already have.

A new tool is only valuable if it fits into what you already use. Integration is planned from the diagnosis, not bolted on at the end.

During the immersion, I list every tool in place, what it contains and who uses it. Some stay, others are replaced. The new software connects to the ones that stay, so information is only entered once.

Your existing data isn't lost: it is migrated, cleaned and checked with you before go-live. The Excel files built up over the years become the foundation of the new tool.

All about software integration
  • ERP and business software

Data exchange with the ERP or sector software already in place, via API or files.

  • Accounting

Export of invoices and entries to your accounting software, to end re-entry.

  • Excel and existing files

History migration, plus regular imports if some files need to keep living.

  • CRM, email and calendars

Sync of contacts, appointments and conversations with your everyday tools.

  • APIs and online services

Connection to platforms and services that offer an API: payment, e-signature, maps, messaging.

  • Automation

Repetitive tasks handled automatically: follow-ups, notifications, document generation.

Security and data

Your data is protected, and it stays yours.

Business software holds what your company values most: its customers, its prices, its history. Security is part of the design.

  • Automatic backups

Regular, automatic backups stored separately from the application, with a restore tested before go-live.

  • Access management

Each user has a personal account and only sees what concerns them. Permissions are defined with you, by role, and offboarding takes one click.

  • GDPR built in

Only necessary data is collected. Retention periods, export and deletion of personal data are planned from the design stage.

  • Ownership of code and data

The source code, database and access belong to you. Everything is documented: you can evolve the tool with whoever you choose.

Securing your whole IT setup

After delivery

Living software, supported over time.

Go-live isn't the end of the project. It's when the tool starts being used for real, and when the best ideas for improvement appear.

  1. 01

    Team training

I train users on site, workstation by workstation, with their own data. A user guide remains available.

  2. 02

    Maintenance

Security updates, monitoring, backups, fixes. The tool stays reliable and up to date without you having to think about it.

  3. 03

    Improvements

New features, new users, new tools to connect: every improvement is priced in advance and delivered following your priorities.

  4. 04

A contact who knows your tool

The person who answers you is the one who designed it. No ticket lost in a support queue, no explanation to start over.

Budget

How much does custom software cost?

The price of business software depends on what it has to do. After the diagnosis you receive a cost estimate, then a fixed price agreed before development.

Custom business software

On quote

What drives the price

  • ScopeThe number of screens, processes covered and business rules to implement.
  • UsersThe number of profiles, access rights, and mobile or field use.
  • IntegrationsThe number of tools to connect and the quality of their interfaces (APIs, exports, files).
  • Data migrationThe volume and state of existing data to migrate from spreadsheets or old software.
  • RequirementsAvailability, security or traceability constraints specific to your business.

The agreed amount is what you pay. Travel is included. A large project can be split into stages, each useful on its own.

Anywhere in France, travel included

I come to you, wherever you are.

I work anywhere in France. I come to your premises for the immersion, deployment and training; the rest of the project moves forward remotely. Travel is included in the project price.

Business software is better designed by watching people work than by reading a specification. That's why the key moments of the project happen on site, with your teams.

Between visits, we work remotely: regular video check-ins, test versions available online, exchanges by email or phone.

  • The immersion

One to two days to observe workstations, meet the teams and map the tools in place.

  • Deployment

Go-live happens on site, to check that everything works in real conditions.

  • Training

Users are trained at their workstation, with their data, by the person who designed the tool.

  • Follow-up visits

When a major improvement warrants it, I come back on site to observe and adjust it with you.

Questions from business owners

What I'm asked most often.

Is travel charged on top?

No, it is included in the project price, wherever you are in France.

How long does it take to build custom software?

It depends on scope. The schedule is set in the quote, stage by stage, and you use a first version before the end of the project. If a deadline has to change, I tell you straight away.

How do we know if custom software pays off for us?

That's what the diagnosis is for. I estimate the time lost today (re-entry, searching, errors) and compare it with the cost of the project. If off-the-shelf software is enough, I'll tell you.

What happens to our current data?

It is migrated into the new tool. I clean it, import it and we check it together before go-live. Nothing is deleted from your old files.

Will our teams actually use it?

Adoption is prepared from the start: users take part in the immersion, test the prototype before development and are trained on site. A tool designed with them is a tool they use.

Who owns the code and the data?

You do. The source code, data and access belong to you, with full documentation. You never depend on KODAZZ to keep using or evolving the tool.

What if you're no longer available?

Everything is documented and your access stays with you. The code uses mainstream technologies another developer can take over. I always let you know about absences in advance.

Can we start small?

Yes, and it's often recommended. We start with the process that costs the most, put it into production, then expand. Each stage is useful on its own and priced separately.
